Backside works. は顔だけでなく本名も性別も年齢も明らかにしていない作家だ。 ただし、作品の中の様々なヒントを通じて日本の福岡出身ということは分かる。
作家はなぜ正体を隠しているのでしょうか。作家とのインタビューで、作家は自分が大衆の前に出てこないことについて、冗談混じった答えでルックスに自信がいなくてと答えた。
作家は作品を見る観客が主人公だと思い、この観客と一緒に物語を作っていくヒロイン（小説や映画での女性主人公）という可愛い女の子を描き、ヒロインと共に自分の物語を想像して欲しい。
そんな想いでアート制作をしている。
当然のように子供の時から日本のオタク文化とストリート文化に憧れ影響を受け、技法面でも日本アニメやマンガ、グラフィティアートなどの要素でペインティング、シルクスクリーン、ペン画やスプレーなど様々な材料 を使用する。
また、Backside works.は、リーバイス、コンバース、週刊少年ジャンプなど、多数のブランドとのコラボレーションをしている。

Backside works. is an artist who has not revealed real name, gender, age, as well as face. However, through various clues in the works, we know that the artist is from Fukuoka, Japan.
Why does the artist hide his identity? In an interview with the artist, he answered jokingly that the reason why the artist does not appear in front of the public is because he is not confident about appearances.
The artist thinks that the audience who sees the work is the main character, and draws a pretty girl named Heroine (the female protagonist in novels and movies) who creates a story together with this audience, and wants them to imagine their own story together with the Heroine.
It is with this thought in mind that the artist creates art.
Naturally, as a child, the artist has been influenced by Japanese otaku culture and street culture, and uses a variety of materials such as painting, silkscreen, pen drawings, and spray painting with elements of Japanese anime, manga, and graffiti art.
Backside works. has collaborated with many brands such as Levis, Converse, and Weekly Shonen Jump.
