FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2021」

Born in Fukuoka in 1982.
After graduating from a design school, he built a career as a designer and illustrator.
In 2015, he started posting original illustrations on Instagram and began his artist activities in full force.
In 2019, Isayama held solo exhibitions in Harajuku, Tokyo and Umeda, Osaka, and enter the world of contemporary art from “ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2021” in 2021.
isayamax’s work is grounded in the counterculture of the 90s and the zeitgeist and culture of the 70s.

The “kawaii culture” that originated in manga and character culture of the 70s, which is closely related to bijin-ga and illustration, has continued through the Shibuya gyaru and Harajuku décora of the 90s to the SNS and diverse pop culture of the present day.
isayamax has reconstructed the context of “domestic kawaii culture” in its own unique way, and sublimated it into the modern age by making full use of illustration techniques. The visual expression that mixes nostalgia and novelty creates empathy that transcends generations and national borders.
