小林亜沙「ガールズ・トーク」

この度SH GALLERYでは、「memeco」という少女の平面・立体作品を通して高い人気を得ている作家・小林亜沙の個展「ガールズ・トーク」を開催いたします。

小林亜沙は、言葉にできない感情や「好き」という気持ちをすくい上げ、「memeco」というキラキラした瞳の愛らしいキャラクターに託して作品を制作している作家です。

作品に登場するキャラクター「memeco」は、見る人の内面にある「やりたいことや夢にまっすぐだった頃の自分」をモチーフとしています。
その輝く瞳は、私たちに幼い頃の純粋なときめきを思い出させてくれます。

本展では、新作およびこれまでのシリーズからなる平面・立体作品が一堂に会し、作家のこれまでの軌跡と今後の展開を体感いただける構成となっております。

代表シリーズとして、“るんるん”とした気持ちで
「あのね」と話しかける少女をテーマとした〈「あのね」memeco〉シリーズや、
「好きすぎて沼ってます」という感情をテーマとした〈お椀シリーズ〉を展示いたします。
心が弾む瞬間や、大好きなものにまっすぐ目を輝かせる少女たちの姿を、ぜひお楽しみください。

ーー女の子たちの「好き」にまっすぐな気持ちや、わくわくする感情、ふとした淋しさ。
言葉になりきらない心の動きを作品に込めています。

SH GALLERY is pleased to present “GIRL’S TALK,” a solo exhibition by Asa Kobayashi, an artist who has gained widespread recognition for her paintings and sculptural works featuring the character “memeco.”

Kobayashi captures emotions that are difficult to put into words, as well as feelings of “liking” something. She expresses these through “memeco,” an endearing character with sparkling eyes.
The character embodies a version of ourselves that was once honest and direct about our dreams and desires.
Through her radiant gaze, “memeco” evokes the pure excitement and sense of wonder we experienced in childhood.

This exhibition features new works alongside pieces from the artist’s previous series, offering an overview of her practice to date and a glimpse of what lies ahead.

The exhibition includes the “‘Anone’ memeco” series, featuring a girl who cheerfully says “Anone(guess what),” and the “Bowl Series,” inspired by the feeling of being deeply absorbed in what one loves.
These works capture moments of joy and the bright, passionate expressions of the girls.
