ART FEAR®SEOUL

FUKI COMMITTEE, MAKERS SPACE, Burumori, TAKUMU, Masato Yamaguchi

The first ®︎ was held as a five-person group show by FUKI COMMITTEE , MAKERS SPACE, Burumori, TAKUMU, and organizer himself Masato Yamaguchi, some who are attracting attention on Tokyo’s street and underground. Currently, street and underground resonate in cities around the world through social media, and these multiple movements are occurring simultaneously.
This time, we will be moving to Seoul to hold a larger scale ®︎ by the same members. Through this exhibition, we hope that the audience can get a glimpse of Tokyo’s ongoing scene and feel the cultural sympathy between Tokyo and Seoul.

®는 예술이 아카데미즘에서 시장주의 중심으로 기울어지는 가운데 아티스트의 본연의 자유로운 표현을 목적으로 2023년부터 시작된 전시입니다.
첫 번째 전시였던 ® 는 도쿄의 언더그라운드, 스트리트 아트에서 주목받고 있는 FUKI COMMITTEE, MAKERS SPACE, BURUMORI, TAKUMU 그리고 주최자인 MASATO YAMAGUCHI를 포함한 다섯 명의 멤버의 그룹전으로 개최되었습니다.
현재, 언더그라운드, 스트리트 아트는 SNS와 같은 소셜 미디어를 통해 전 세계의 도시에서 공감을 불러일으키며 동시다발적인 움직임으로 일어나고 있습니다.
이번 전시는 서울로 이동하여 SH GALLERY SEOUL에서 동일한 멤버들로 이전보다 더 큰 규모의 ® 을 개최하게 되었습니다. 이 전시를 통해 도쿄의 현재진행형의 아트 신 그리고 도쿄와 서울 간의 문화적 교류와 공감을 느낄 수 있기를 바랍니다.

®︎ is an event that started in 2023 with the aim of allowing artists to express themselves freely at a time where ART is shifting from academia to marketism.
